Carolyn Sue Kelsey's Obituary
Edmore- Carolyn Sue (Crooks) Kelsey, age 73, of Six Lakes passed away on July 12, 2021, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Carolyn was born on March 3, 1948, in Edmore to Seymour and Carol Crooks. She graduated from Edmore High School with the class of 1966, continuing her education at Chic University of Cosmetology graduating on September 7, 1983. She married David Kelsey on September 11, 1996, at the Living Water Church in Gary, Indiana, with Carolyn's son, Stephen officiating the service. Carolyn enjoyed being a wife and mother, sewing, painting, watching movies, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She served on the planning commission in both Winfield and Maple Valley Townships and was also a trustee for Belvidere Township. She was a member of the New Life Methodist Church in Six Lakes. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Carolyn is survived by her husband David; children, Stephen (Gayle) Burgstahler, Holly Fournier, David (Irene) Kelsey, Melissa (Matt) Kirkilewski, Thomas (Katie) Renslow, Serena (Nathan) Credille, Jonathan (Annie) Kelsey; grandchildren, JT, Nathan, Eli, Charis, Micah, Andrew, Olivia, Cameron, Abigail, Sophia, Lucas; brother, Richard (Janet) Crooks, sister-in law, Diane Crooks.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; son-in law, Jon Fournier; and brother, Landon Crooks.
A memorial service will take place on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 2:00pm at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, with Pastor Mark Mitchell officiating. Contributions in Carolyn's memory may be made to the family to help with expenses.
