Charles E. "Jiggs" Adams' Obituary
Charles E. "Jiggs" Adams, age 88, of Edmore, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at his daughter's home in Sand Lake, MI. Jiggs was born in Frametown, West Virginia on December 1, 1929, the son of Charles S. and Dessie (Jarvis) Adams. Jiggs was raised in Edmore and graduated from Edmore High School in 1949. Jiggs married Neola Fleck in Six Lakes on January 17, 1949. Jiggs honorably served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp from 1952 until 1954. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator more than 45 years. Jiggs was with the Home Twp. Fire Department for 35 years.
Jiggs will be missed by his children Rita Kay (Dale) Reed of Sand Lake, and Edwin Adams of Edmore; four grandchildren Heather Jurmu, Adam Reed, Jamie Ordiway, and Joshua Adams; eight great-grandchild; two sisters Lee Steger of Edmore, and Madeline Deark of KY; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jiggs was preceded in death by Neola Adams on Jan 2, 2008; parents Charles and Dessie Adams; brother Ray "Buck" Adams; sister Alma Loucks; and daughter-in-law Terri Adams.
Funeral services for Jiggs will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 12 noon with family accepting friends from 10:00 until noon. Those wishing to contribute in Jiggs's memory are asked to consider the First Church of God in Edmore.
