Charles Ray Evans' Obituary
Charles "Chuck" Evans, age 62, of Remus, Michigan (formerly of Six Lakes and
Pontiac) passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at
his home. Chuck was raised in Pontiac and attended Pontiac
Northern High School. He moved to Six Lakes to be closer to
his parents 29 years ago. Charles was employed by Packer
Greenville Wire, Hylean Pork in Remus, Benson Lumber, and
Matthew Hy-Grade both in Pontiac. He loved to fish and
collecting tape measures. He met the love of his life,
Barbara "Barb" Fairbrother twenty-two years ago in June
at her cousins' home in Millbrook.Chuck will be missed by Barb
Fairbrother of Remus; his father Thomas "Tom" Evans of
Six Lakes; sisters Gloria Evans of Oxford, Betty and John
Setser, Sharon "Louise" and Mike Lipka, and Cindy and
Steve Little, all from Fostoria; brothers John and Tracy
Evans of Six Lakes, Lawrence "Jeff" Evans of Fostoria,
and Robert and Kelly Evans of Muskegon; children Dana Evans
of Virginia, Katie Trivette, and Thomas E. Evans both of
Tennessee; stepchildren Kristy Reynolds, Brent Frisbie
both of Shelbyville, and Shawn Frisbie of Kalamazoo; 15
grandchildren; and countless nieces, nephews, and
friends.Charles was preceded in death by
his mother Anna Lou Evans; and two brothers William
"Bill" Evans, and Raymond Evans. Services for Charles will be held
on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Brigham
Chapel in Six Lakes with the family accepting friends for
visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the chapel. The family
requests in lieu of flowers to consider contributing to
Brigham Funeral Chapel for final expenses.
