Charles Edward Holcomb's Obituary
Charles Edward Holcomb, Jr., passed away suddenly on December 26, 2023, in Big Rapids, Michigan. He was born February 27, 1957, to Charles and Lilie (Matthews) Holcomb in Baltimore, Maryland. Shortly after high school, Charles met the love of his life, Deborah Bushre, and the two were married on June 23, 1979. They grew their family to include two sons, Donald and Matthew. Charles loved to hunt and fish with his sons, was a loving father and husband, and a wonderful Papa to his grandchildren. He loved to tease and spend time with his family, especially the grandkids. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Deborah Holcomb; children, Donald (Windy) Holcomb and Matthew (Patricia) Holcomb; grandchildren, Waylon, Channing, Lina and Ryker; brothers, Lee Stilton and David Holcomb, and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at St. Michael Catholic Church -Remus, at 11 AM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the service in St. Michael Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to The National Autism Association (https://nationalautismassociation.org/). Envelopes will be available at the church.
