Charles E. Jarmoloski's Obituary
Lakeview - Charles Eugene Jarmoloski, age 89, of Lakeview, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home with family at his side. Charles was born June 15, 1927 in Grand Rapids, the son of John and Wanda (Linski) Jarmoloski. He was raised in Grand Rapids and attended St. Isadore Catholic School. Charles honorably served his country in the Navy as a Fireman First Class until July 1946. Charles was a Carpenter and worked for Owens Ames & Kimball in Grand Rapids until his retirement. He enjoyed wood working, collecting antiques, tinkering, repairing clocks and watches, and watching deer and birds (wildlife in general). He was a member of the United Church of Christ, Lakeview Wellness Center, and was a life member of the VFW in Howard City. Charles met and married Donna Joy Winchel Moore on April 2006 at the Lakeview Wellness Center.
Charles will be deeply missed by his wife Donna Jarmoloski of Lakeview; one son Tom Jarmoloski of Lakeview; one granddaughter Emily Jarmoloski and her husband Moses; and one brother Joe (Liz) Jarvis of Vancouver, Canada; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents John and Wanda Jarmoloski; first wife Lois Jarmoloski; two daughters Susan and Kathy Jarmoloski; and siblings Bert Jarmoloski, Ted Jarmoloski, Helen Eaton, Wanda Atman, Florence Randall, Phyllis Kort, and Val White.
A Celebration of Charles life will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Church of Christ, 115 5th St., Lakeview, MI 48850, with Pastor Dave England officiating. The family will be accepting friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Contributions in Charles's memory may be made to the United Church of Christ Building Fund.
