Charles Robert Perdue's Obituary
Big Rapids - Charles "Chuck" R. Perdue, 55, of Big Rapids, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Spectrum Health Butterworth, after a short battle with respiratory and heart disease.
He was born May 20, 1963, in Detroit, the son of John "Jack" V. and Janine R. (Soldan) Perdue. Chuck attended Southfield School, where he made lifelong friends. He worked various jobs before moving to Big Rapids in 1984. Chuck worked at Mike's Pitstop and the Eastside Market while attending Ferris State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree, graduating in 1994. After graduating he managed restaurants in the west Michigan area; along with substitute teaching for the M.O.I.S.D.
Chuck is survived by his son Neil Perdue of Big Rapids; brother John Perdue of Big Rapids; niece, Mallory Perdue and great-nephew Jacob Perdue, of Grand Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew, Jesse Perdue.
A Memorial Service, for both Chuck and his mother Janine, will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made left at the funeral home.
