Charlotte "Char" Elaine Stevens' Obituary
Lakeview - Charlotte "Char" Elaine (Skinner) Stevens, age 84, of Lakeview passed away at Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville on Sunday, March 13, 2022. She was born on July 10, 1937, the daughter of Erville and Elaine (Traulsen) Skinner, in Lakeview where she was also raised. Upon graduating from high school, Char married Gordon "Gordie" Stevens, on July 26, 1954. She was employed by Hi-Q Industries and at Kingdom of Flowers, both in Lakeview. Later on, she provided daycare in her home for area teachers. Char was very dedicated to her family, spanning several generations. She took it upon herself to chronical every family event with photos and video. Char loved the color purple and was known for her purple golf cart. She enjoyed spending time with her tight knit group of friends, whether they were attending swim class, going out to lunch, or traveling. Baking was also a passion, especially pies that were her specialty. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 68 years, Gordie of Lakeview; daughter, Holly (Dan) Delling of Farmington; grandchildren, Jordan (Erica) Delling, Dane Delling, Brent Stevens; 3 great-grandchildren, Jackson and Charlotte Delling, Pyper Stevens; brothers, Larry (Deanna) Skinner of Florida, Tom Skinner of Greenville; brother-in-law, George "Bud" Timiney of Lakeview.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Stevens; granddaughter, Turi Stevens; parents, Erville and Elaine; parents-in-law, Hal and Vivian Stevens; and 2 sisters, Virginia "Ginnie" Timiney and Pat (Ernie) Gould.
A memorial service will be planned for a future date.
