Cheryl Lynn Allen's Obituary
Cheryl Lynn Allen age 77 of Vestaburg, passed away on August 1, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. Cheryl was born on September 21, 1948, in Ramsey, Illinois. The daughter of Frank and Jessie June (Virden) Moreland. Cheryl graduated from Vestaburg High School. She married Melvin "Bud" Allen on June 11, 1966 at New Haven Church in Sumner.
Cheryl worked as a Produce Manager along with other jobs. She loved being a home body and spending time with family and friends. Cheryl enjoyed watching sports and the news, but especially loved being with her grandchildren.
Cheryl is survived by her children Frank (Shelia) Allen of Ithaca, Dan (Brenda) Allen of Vestaburg and Scott (Kelly) Allen of Mt. Pleasant. Grandchildren Justin, Jenny, Allison, Melany, Logan, Lucas, Bryson and Nadia and 4 great grandchildren. Her brothers Gordan Moreland and Ivan Moreland.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Jessie June Moreland husband Bud Allen, siblings Kurt Moreland, Harold Moreland, Collette Snyder and Betty Ball.
A graveside service will take place on August 6, 2026 at 2 pm at Richland Township Cemetary. We invite friends and family to come together to celebrate Cheryl's life.
