Edmore- Cheryl Irene DeForest, age 68, of Vestaburg passed away from this life on earth to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on December 16, 2022. She was born on September 25, 1954, in Edmore to Harold M. and Ula Mae (Carrick) Nokes. Cheryl was raised in Vestaburg and graduated from Vestaburg High School in 1972. She was employed at Hitachi for 27 years. In 1990, Cheryl became a mother to her only daughter, Sasha, her pride and joy. She enjoyed things like shopping, watching Westerns, flowers, and bird watching. Her favorite pastime of all was spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, family, and friends.Cheryl will be greatly missed by daughter, Sasha Martinez; grandchildren, Paytan, Payne, Olivia, Kamryn, and baby Ivy Irene who is on the way; mother, Ula Keeler; brothers, Michael (Rachel) Nokes and Carson Nokes; best friend Pamela Losey and everyone who called her friend and Ma.Cheryl is preceded in death by her father Harold Nokes; sister, MaryAnn Nokes; and sister-in-law, Patti Nokes.A celebration of Cheryl's life will take place at 1:00PM at the Cornerstone Worship Center on Decemeber 30, 2022 with Pastor Don Wolf officiating.
