Cheryl Ann Peasley's Obituary
Cheryl Ann (Dilno) Peasley left her earthly body on Thursday, September 16th, 2021. She was born on December 6th, 1946 the second daughter of Edward and Iretha Dilno of McBride. Cheryl was a daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, aunt, nurse, farmwife, factory worker, fisher, retiree and grandmother. Cheryl desired to help the people around her enjoy life. Whether she was inviting people to go fishing at her place on the lake, spending time with her grandchildren, making wooden signs for people, scrapbooking, making blankets, perusing garage sales, thinking up ways to play a joke on friends and family, or stocking her already overflowing refrigerator with food to share. Cheryl was always pushing herself to make things better for someone else. It is astounding the amount of love and time she dedicated to taking care of others.
Some of our greatest memories were over the past 15 years, she retired from Parker and was able to take some time to explore how to make herself happy. She was proud of her home on the lake and had her pontoon boat and a deck that she very often fished from with friends and family that came to visit. She had some struggles, adjusting from working to just trying to enjoy life and relax, she fought through them and decided that she needed to be around people more and have a part-time job to maintain her schedule. She always made herself available to her sons and she went on several trips with them to include many trips to Tucson and Wichita, Disney World, Branson, Dodge City, and most recently Tennessee. There were many trips with friends and sisters around the state, we would often tell her not to get arrested because of her vivacious personality when she was out in public.
Over the past few years it was good to see her become confident and independent. She was content with what life had given her and would decorate her house with decor that mattered to her. She loved God’s gifts and enjoyed the calmness of nature. She lined her deck near the channel with upwards of 30 bird feeders and would educate visitors about the birds. We would joke that her bird seed bill was more than her grocery bill.
Cheryl is survived by her sisters Beverley (Charles) Baxter and Jacklyn Dilno Fachting; her three sons and their children Brian (Lisa) Peasley, Jacob, Molly, Lucas, Zachary, and Christian; Brandin (Regina) Peasley, Madeline, Ashlin, and Bailee; Bradley (Janelle) Peasley, Jack, Brett, and Blake. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Iretha Dilno. There will be visitations on October 8th from 5-8 pm and October 9th from 9-10am followed by a memorial service at 10 am and luncheon at Sylvester Community Church.
