Chester "Duane" Reynolds' Obituary
Chester "Duane" Reynolds, age 84 passed away November 18, 2016 at Carson City Hospital. Chester was born August 14, 1932 in Crystal, Michigan the son of Howard and Mabel (Synder) Reynolds. Duane was united in marriage to the former Bernetia Miller on August 16, 1952 in Crystal, Michigan. Duane worked at several different grain elevators and 33 years at Montcalm County Road Commission. After retiring Duane drove truck for Crooks Potato Farms during harvest times. He also enjoyed being a hobby farmer raising beef cattle for several years. On Duane's 80th birthday he received an antique tractor; which he enjoyed driving in parades and in Tractor Drives. He belonged to Old Iron Tractor Club . Duane also enjoyed his wood shop where he made several different items and sold them at craft shows; where he enjoyed meeting people. Duane enjoyed riding his golf cart around and gardening. He will be missed dearly.
Duane is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Bernetia, son; Bruce (Carole) Reynolds of Vestaburg, daughters; Diane (Wayne) Boughan of Stanton, Mary Baker of Sheridan and Barb (Robert) Sly Jr. of Sheridan, son in-law; Rick Stewart, 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; sister; Ethel Ryan, brother; Keith Reynolds and many nieces and nephews. Chester was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, 3 brothers, infant son, Kennith, daughter Linda Stewart, a granddaughter and 3 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life service for Duane will take place Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Brigham Funeral Chapel-Edmore with Wayne Boughan to officiate. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan, MI. Visitation will take place Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 3:00-7:00 PM and again at 10:00 AM Wednesday morning from the funeral home.
