Christopher "Chris" Frankenfield's Obituary
Edmore-Christopher Frankenfield, age 49, of Blanchard passed away at MidMichigan Medical Center in Alma on Saturday, April 17, 2021. He was born in Landsdale, PA on October 31, 1971 to Stanley and Eleanor (Miller) Frankenfield. Chris was raised in Sevierville, TN and graduated from Gatlinburg-Pitman High School in Gatlinburg, TN in 1989. Chris served honorably in the US Army, before pursuing other careers. In 2008 he moved to Michigan and met Ashley Evitts. They spent 10 years together before being married on December 18, 2020. He was employed in building trades, working in masonry, drywall, building, electrical and plumbing. He was a gifted mechanic who could fix any kind of engine or piece of machinery. He was most recently employed by Anderson Brothers Farms in Blanchard. Chris was very kindhearted, going out of his way to help anyone that was in need. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and model cars. He will be deeply missed by his family everyone who knew him.
Chris is survived by his wife, Ashley; children, Ethan (Addyson Anderson) Wood of Sheridan, Keegan Wagoner of Blanchard, and Faith Frankenfield of Stanwood; father, David (Rhonda) Barndt; brother, Robert Barndt of Newport, TN; sister, Rebecca (Jason) Shultz of Sevierville, TN; mother-in-law, Deb (Charlie) McDaniel; father-in-law, Kelly (Becky) Evitts; sister-in-law, Tara (Adam) Arntz; brother-in-law, Justin Evitts; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Frankenfield; mother, Eleanor Barndt; siblings, Maria Miller and Nathaniel Barndt.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore. Interment will follow at Vinewood Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral chapel.
