Clarence William Yanke's Obituary
Lakeview - Clarence William Yanke, age 91, of Lakeview passed away at his home on Sunday, April 2, 2023. He was born in Amble on July 5, 1931, the son of Dewey and Lila (Dishong) Yanke. Clarence was raised on the family farm in Amble and attended Morley High School. He was employed by Lakeview Community Schools as a mechanic and bus driver for over 27 years. Clarence married Mary King on March 26, 1993, at her mother's home in Lakeview. He was a hardworking man, who had a dry sense of humor and a big heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and having coffee with "the boys" at Mckenna's Restaurant. Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary of Lakeview; sons, Robert (Donna) Yanke of Kansas, Todd (Annie) Kruger of Grand Ledge; daughter, Jill Bills of Grand Rapids; 5 granddaughters, Briana, Katie Bug, Lydia, Karsyn, Brooklynn; siblings, Joann (Ron) Rykert of Coral, Delbert Yanke of Cedar Springs, Shirley Yanke of Belding, Dewey Lee (Jane) Yanke of DeWitt; sisters-in-law, Edna (Lynn) Saxton of Lakeview, Karen Johnson of Greenville, Gayla King of Lakeview, Sue King of Lakeview; brother-in-law, Henry King of Canadian Lakes; very special neighbor and friend, Denise Lutterloh; many nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Lila; siblings, Bernard Yanke, Beatrice (Ford) Winger, Jean Hill, Doris Jones, Jane (Duane) Davis; 2 brothers-in-law, John King and Larry Johnson. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Ashley Reddy officiating.
