Columbus Lee Cosby's Obituary
Big Rapids - Columbus Lee Cosby, 71, of Big Rapids, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital. He was born in Madison County, Mississippi on July 16, 1944, the son of Cleveland and Aleen (Burks) Cosby. Columbus moved to Chicago where his met his wife of 49 years, Diane. They moved to Big Rapids nearly two decades ago to raise their family. Columbus is survived by his wife, Diane; five children, Dawn, Sonia, C.C. (Timbree), Courtney, and Alicia; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; six sisters; two brothers; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Major Graham; great granddaughter, Aaliyah; and two brothers, Johnny and Lorenzo. A memorial gathering for Columbus will be 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cosby family.
