Concetta "Connie" Rose Lund's Obituary
Lakeview-Concetta "Connie" Rose Lund, age 93, of Lakeview peacefully passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Lakeview Terrace. She was born in Grand Rapids on December 22, 1929, the daughter of Roberto and Concetta (Catalano) Stellini. Connie was raised in Grand Rapids where she attended South High School, graduating with the Class of 1948. On April 7, 1951, Connie married the love of her life, Charles L. Lund. They spent 69 years together before his passing in 2020. She was employed as a secretary by Steelcase in Grand Rapids for 25 years and various area businesses after moving to Lakeview, retiring in 1992. Connie enjoyed baking, crocheting, sewing, reading, gardening, and playing cards and games. She was a member of the VFW Post 3071 Auxillary and St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lakeview. Connie loved her family, sharing traditions and celebrating the holidays with them. Connie is survived by her children, Nancy (Richard) Davis, Kathy (Maurice) Hotz, David (Terri) Lund, Richard (Jania) Lund all of Lakeview, grandchildren, Bryan, Jeffrey, and Christopher Davis, Amy Forman, Adam and Stephanie Hotz, Kendra Dickman, Mika Venema, Richard, Jason and Kyle Lund; and 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Lund; parents; and siblings, Vincent (Nancy) Stellini, Salvatore (Virginia) Stellini, Anthony (Theora) Stellini, Philip (Irma) Stellini, Maria (Michael) Cutrara, Josephine (Joseph) Pavlak, Augustine (Michael) Hanrahan. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lakeview with Father William Zink officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Interment is scheduled for 3:00 PM at Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming, MI.
