Connie Lou Ervin's Obituary
ObituaryLakeview - Connie Lou Ervin, age 74, passed away on Saturday 24, 2022. She was born on May 21, 1948, in Big Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Elmer Earl and Fannie Louise (Stewart) Poynor. Connie was raised in Lakeview and graduated from Lakeview High School with the Class of 1967. She furthered her education taking CNA classes through Lakeview Hospital. Connie married Elton Leo Ervin on October 12, 1968, in Lakeview. She enjoyed gardening, buying toys for other children, attending church, traveling, and going out to eat. She loved going to Pow Wow's in Mt. Pleasant, and the Indian and prairie cultures. She was a member of a card club, and the Pleasant Valley UV Church in Blanchard. Connie is survived in death by her children Kelly Arnold of Greenville, and Elton Leo "Rusty" Ervin Jr. of Edmore; siblings, Gary (Crystal) Poynor of Lakeview, Janice (Larry) Shenefield of Grand Rapids, and Debra Jura of Saginaw; one brother-in-law Alan Wilson of Pierson; and many nieces and nephews. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Ervin; one daughter, Claudette Ervin; her parents, Elmer and Fannie Poynor; siblings, Sandra Easton, and Sheryl Wilson; and one brother-in-law Steve Jura. The family will receive friends for a celebration of Connie's life on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 1:00 P. M. at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, Michigan with Pastor Buzz Stone officiating. Those wishing to contribute in Connie's memory are asked to consider GCOM in Six Lakes.
