Connie Rae Neal's Obituary
Lakeview-Connie Rae (Doolittle) Neal, age 62, of Edmore (formerly of Haslett and Lansing) passed away at her home on November 14, 2018. She was born in Saginaw on July 6, 1956 the daughter of George and Shirley (Lemmer) Doolittle. Connie was raised in Lansing and Haslett area and graduated from Haslett High School with the class of 1974. She then attended Mid-Michigan Community College. On January 22, 1980 Connie married the love or her life, Walter Lewis Neal. She was employed as a supervisor associate for CME - Mitsuba for 26 years and retired on August 28, 2018.
Connie loved having her family around and spending time with her grandkids. She was an excellent coon hunter and had a built-in compass. She enjoyed bonfires and camping, tubing on the Chippewa River, playing Yahtzee and holiday get togethers. Connie thought the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers were "top of the Line", and avidly watched them on TV. She was an animal lover especially her beloved cats and dogs. Her family affectionately called her "Connie the cat lady".
Connie is survived by her husband Walter Lewis Neal of Edmore; children James (Katie) Neal of Canadian Lakes, and Timothy Neal of Edmore; her father, George DooLittle; grandchildren Hannah and Aiden; siblings Timothy "Tim" (Janet) DooLittle of Lansing, Mary (Ron) Berryhill of Mt. Pleasant, Rob DooLittle of Lansing, Mark (Sheri) DooLittle of Mt. Pleasant, and Cheryl (Todd) Stewart of Mason; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her mother Shirley DooLittle.
A Celebration in Connie's memory will take place on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, MI with Pastor Sue Babb officiating. All are invited to visit and share memories immediately following the service at a Luncheon in the Brigham Banquet Room.
