Craig Alan Hansen's Obituary
Craig Alan Hansen age 54, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Kelsey United Hospital, Lakeview, Michigan. Craig was born October 07, 1960 in Greenville, Michigan, the son of Raymond and Harriett (Sigsby) Hansen.
Craig had a lifelong passion and love of building furniture. He not only built furniture for a living he also did it in his free-time for his family and friends; there was little that he couldn't build. He won the GRAFMA Furniture Hall of Fame Award at the Van Andel Public Musuem. Craig also loved to hunt. He had a life-time adventure to Colorado, hunting elk in 2013 and was a volunteer for the Commemorative Bucks of Michigan. He enjoyed flying his model airplanes with his son -in-law and grandchildren. Craig always had a smile and a good word for everyone. He will be dearly missed.
Craig is survived by his children; Jennifer (Marcus) Wilson of Greenville, Michigan and Cynthia (Jeremy) Grimm of Marshalltown, Iowa, grandchildren; Keygan Hansen, Makenzie and Coltin Grimm and Madison and Brock Wilson, parents; Raymond and Harriett Hansen of Edmore, Michigan, brothers and sisters; Randy (Kim) Hansen of Vestaburg, Michigan, Peggy (Gary) Holland of Waterville, Ohio and Doug (Beth) Hansen of Six Lakes, Michigan. Craig was preceded in death by a brother; Rick Arthur Hansen.
Funeral service for Craig will take place Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the First Church of God, Edmore, Michigan with Pastor Steve Gulick to officiate. Visitation will be Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM from Brigham Funeral Chapel-Edmore. Interment will take place in McBride Cemetery, McBride, Michigan. Those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider the wishes of the Hansen family c/o Jennifer Wilson.
