Craig Rene Wyma's Obituary
After 10 courageous years fighting cancer, Craig Rene Wyma passed away quietly in his home on November 4, 2021. Craig was born on July 14, 1948, to James and Hazel (Rose) Wyma in Grand Rapids, MI. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Diane and 2 wonderful children, Jason and Stephanie (Matt) Siuda. He was the loving grandfather to Nicholas McIntyre Wyma and Jaron Wyma. Craig also held a special place in his heart for Jessica Wyma and her children, Rileigh, Jack and Hazel King. Preceding him in death were his mother, Hazel Antcliff, stepfather, Kenny Antcliff and his father, James Wyma.
Craig was so full of life, and he lived life to the fullest. He retired from the insurance business after years of dedication to his customers. After retirement he and Diane spent their winters at Orange Harbor Mobile Home Park in Fort Myers, FL. There they made many beloved friends and were very active with the park. Craig loved baseball, golf, pontooning on Bass Lake, gardening, and his music. He played drums in many bands but especially loved playing with his stepdad, Kenny Antcliff and cuz Ray Androl.
Craig trained his buddy and sidekick, Baily, to be a great therapy dog. They so enjoyed visiting the children at Golisano Children's Hospital in Ft. Myers, FL.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Stanton American Legion, 337 W. Day St., Stanton, MI from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A eulogy will be given around 3:30 PM. Please bring a wonderful memory of Craig to share with everyone.
