Cristine Agnes Vaughn's Obituary
Edmore-Cristine Agnes (McKimmy) Vaughn, age 66, of Sidney passed away at her home on Sunday, September 27, 2020. She was born in Lansing on March 26, 1954 to Earl and Rose (Lefevre) McKimmy. Cristine was raised in the Lansing area, where she attended private catholic school, before moving to Montcalm County around the age of 16. She was employed as a cashier at the Hubbardston Market, a cook and waitress at the Maple Rapids bar, a bartender in Carson City and as a secretary for a tractor company. In 1998 friends introduced Cristine to John Vaughn, and they were married on September 26, 2000 in Ithaca. She enjoyed art, crafting, playing shuffleboard, hunting, fishing, camping and mushrooming. She was a member of the Hubbardston Fire Barn Ladies Auxillary. Cristine especially loved her family and friends and cherished the time spent with them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Cristine is survived by her husband, John Vaughn of Sidney; children, Kathleen (Mike) Barbour of Connecticut, Ryan Powelson of Bath, Ronald Powelson of St. Johns; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Diane (Lonnie) VanPatten of Atlanta, MI; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Rose; sister, Kay Neller; brother, Daniel McKimmy.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with Pastor Dan Pflug officiating. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Stanton will follow. The family will greet friends on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral chapel.
