When I was just barely 16 and moved to the foster home just down the road from Dale and Joy, Dale took me under his wing and put me to work with him repairing mobile homes. He knew how uncomfortable it was for me to go from living with my Dad and brother to living with a 67 yr old catholic woman... he really showed up for me as a suto dad even though I wasn't even a foster child in their home. He gave me a purpose, and held me accountable in a loving way... and things he and his wife Joy taught me and the love and care they showed me has stayed with me always. I will forever be grateful 🙏
