Dale J Wiggins Sr.'s Obituary
Dale Wiggins Sr., age 76, passed away peacefully in his home on March 28, 2025. Dale was born on April 8, 1948, in Lakeview to his parents Myron and Iva Wiggins. He grew up in the Ionia area, where he attended Palo Community School. Before Dale graduated, he made the decision to join the army, where he earned his GED. After his discharge from the army, Dale went on to Lansing Community College, where he studied auto repair. He was employed by DJ and Sons, where he used his skills in auto repair while working on the road as a truck driver. Dale retired in 2007, after over thirty years in the industry. On January 14, 1967, Dale married the love of his life, Maxine Allen, with whom he spent many wonderful years. Dale had many hobbies, including racing, fishing, camping, truck driving, and most importantly, spending time with family. Dale will be missed by his wife, Maxine; children, Shelly (Stanley) Anthony of Mount Pleasant, Tanya Wiggins of Wayne, Craig Wiggins of Vestaburg, Cassandra (Lyle) Gibson of Midland, grandchildren, Falisha, Ashley, Dustin, Megan, Faith, Ryan, Taylor, Andrew, Trenton, Latasha, Justus, Damon, Hunter, Craig, Nate, Raidon; 26 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sabrena (Mick) Currier of Sheridan; siblings, Myron Wiggins of St. Louis, Iva Deyoung of Crystal, Larry Wiggins of Mt. Pleasant, Linda Wiggins of Shephard, Danny Wiggins of Stanton, Jamie (Tim) Brown of Belding, Julie (Gene) Getts of Belding. He is preceded in death by his parents, Iva and Myron; children, Dale, James, Thomas; granddaughter, Collette Jett; siblings, Ilene Brown, Laurie Blair, and Western Wiggins. A funeral service in Dale's honor will be held at M-46 Tabernacle Family Ministries in Riverdale on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 11AM with Pastor Bob Menzel officiating. Family will greet guests starting at 5PM until 7PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions made in Dale's honor go to Maxine.
