Daniel Paul Jones' Obituary
Daniel Paul Jones age 57 passed away Tuesday, March 07, 2017 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan with family at his side. Daniel was born August 20, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan the son of John Paul and Joyce Thelma (Hanson) Jones. Daniel proudly served his country from 1977-1979 in the United States Marine Corps. He was united in marriage to the former Kay Lorraine MacNaughton on October 03, 1992 in Lakeview, Michigan.
Daniel was a hard worker; he was a mechanic and a journeyman electrician. Daniel enjoyed woodworking, building and creating anything. He had a love of reading for knowledge which he always used to help others. But most of all he loved spending time with his family, friends and pets. He will be dearly missed.
Daniel is survived by the love of his life of 25 years; Kay Lorraine Jones of Gowen, MI, children; Robert Marek and Rebecca (Matt) Jones both of Lakeview, MI, grandchildren; Alexander Jones of Lakeview, MI, Vanessa Ebel of Greenville, MI, Hunter Schmelz of Lakeview, MI and Blake Marek of Morley, MI, brothers and sisters; Carol (Walter) Enyart of Lakeview, MI, Dianne (Willard) Duran of Big Rapids, MI, David (Terri) Jones of Bristow, VA, Darlene Sher of Lakeview, MI and Renee Jones of Gladwin, MI, brother in-law; Lynn (Caren) Chappell of Harrison, MI and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his sister; Mary Ellen Chappell.
In keeping with Daniel's wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at New Life United Methodist Church, 6584 W. Howard City-Edmore Rd., Six Lakes, MI 48886. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 PM co-officiated by Pastor Sue Babb and Pastor Lynn Chappell and will be concluded by Military Honors, conducted by the Edmore VFW Post 2292. Luncheon to follow services at the New Life United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the American Heart Association.
