Danne Lee Gasch's Obituary
Danne Lee Gasch, age 80, passed away on September 11, 2025. He was born on August 4, 1945, in Rockford, Illinois to Lois Lyla Fox. In his younger years, Danne drove stock cars, bowled on leagues, and was an active member of the Lions Club, where he called bingo games in Lansing. He was known for his love of gambling, often traveling to casinos across the country, and for his passion for hunting in the autumn months. Danne also enjoyed fishing when the weather was fair, even purchasing a boat large enough to traverse the Great Lakes. Throughout his life, Danne held many job titles, but his final and longest vocation was as an over-the-road truck driver-a career he dedicated over three decades to, spending more than two-thirds of that time on the road with his beloved wife, Patricia Ellen (Rhodes) Gasch. Danne will be laid to rest beside Patricia and his parents at Lakeview Cemetery, surrounded by generations of family and memories.Danne is survived by his son Dan Jr. (Cindie); daughter, Debora (Russell) Ault; two granddaughters, six grandsons, and eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Alan and Bobby Gasch, Yvonne Cunningham, Clarice Olsen, and Raymond Parks, along with fourteen nieces and nephews.Danne was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lois Parks, his three wives, Dorothy, Patricia, and Geraldine, as well as his eldest son, youngest daughter Daisy May, nephew James Godbehere, and grandson Christopher.He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.Services will be scheduled for a later date.
