Danny Gene VanLuven's Obituary
Danny VanLuven, age 72, of Vestaburg, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on December 18, 2019. Danny was born in Owosso on September 26, 1947, the son of James and Delia (Remender) VanLuven. He was raised in Owosso and Chesaning and attended Chesaning Schools. Danny married Shirley Daniels on September 24, 2007 in Corunna. He was a proud husband, father and grandfather, who loved his family above all else. He was a self-employed auto mechanic and loved music especially playing the guitar. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching western movies, and taking country drives with Shirley. But most of all, he loved being around his grandchildren.
Danny is survived by his wife of 12 years, Shirley; children, Keith (Peg) VanLuven, Theresa (Jeff) Woodward, Bobbie (Ty) VanLuven, Jamie (John) Morrison, Matthew VanLuven, Patti (Gary) Carr, Darla Frey, Wendy Davis, Willard (Meggan) Davis, Amy (Rodderick) VanStrat, Alisha (Floyd) Hursey, Andrew (Tiffany) Perez, Stephanie Rupp, Destiney (Scott) Perez, Rodney Maxwell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his brother, James VanLuven.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James VanLuven and Delia Gothard; son, Wayne Brower; grandson, Chase Anthony VanLuven; and sister, Sharon VanLuven.
A funeral service for Danny will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Brigham Funeral Chapel Edmore, with Minister Doug Flegel officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions for the needs of the family.
