Daryl James Quisenberry's Obituary
Peacefully at home on Friday, April 19th, aged 75, Daryl Quisenberry of Six Lakes, MI. passed away.Daryl was born on December 31st, 1948; the first of three sons born to the late James and Audrey Quisenberry. He was raised on a dairy farm in Six Lakes. Daryl graduated from Lakeview High School in 1967 having been elected student council president by his peers. During Vietnam, Daryl served his country in the army. In 1970 he returned home to work on the farm.On August 22nd, 1981, Daryl married the love of his life Elizabeth (MacDonald). He worked as a dairy and crop farmer at Quisenberry Farms with his brother Gary and father until he retired. Gary, his best friend, remained in partnership with him until Daryl retired. Daryl and wife Beth lovingly raised their four children at the farm. When Daryl suffered a heart attack in 2007, he retired from farming and enjoyed working at the hardware store in Six Lakes.Daryl loved farming, the outdoors, animals, and hunting. He was very devoted to soil conservation and traveled the US searching for the best agricultural practices. Daryl was an avid reader with interests in the old west, history, geography, and he had a great love for Alaska. He had an extensive collection of movies and greatly enjoyed time spent watching films.Faith in God was important to Daryl from an early age and he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Daryl met his wife Beth at M-46 Tabernacle in Riverdale, MI. as she played bass with the worship team. He and his family attended M-46 Tabernacle for the following 43 years. Daryl loved and respected his church family and pastors, the late Brother Jack Skirvin, Pastor Dan Skirvin, and Pastor Bob Menzel.Daryl is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth (MacDonald) Quisenberry, his children: Sarah Quisenberry of Carson City, NV.; Magan Quisenberry of Six Lakes; Jacob (Bethany) Quisenberry of Six Lakes; Rebekah Quisenberry of Dubuque, IA. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Peyton Quisenberry, Quinn Quisenberry, and Raylan Quisenberry, two nephews, Zeke Quisenberry and Zeb Quisenberry, sister-in-law, Julie Quisenberry, and many cousins and family friends.
He is preceded in death by parents James and Audrey (Wright) Quisenberry, brothers, Gary (Julie) Quisenberry, and Gregg Quisenberry. Brother-in-law, David Hills and niece, Charity Bethke.Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 26th at M-46 Tabernacle Family Ministries 11098 E. Howard City-Edmore Road Riverdale, MI 48877.
