David Johnston's Obituary
David Lyle Johnston Sr., age 59, of Morley, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. David was born November 12th, 1956 in Lakeview, Michigan, the son of Arden Lee and Ada Bell (Pike) Johnston. David was raised in the Morley area and graduated from Morley-Stanwood High School Class of 1974. He was employed by Steelcase for over 28 years. And most recently, he drove truck for Sandy Land Farms for over 8 seasons. David enjoyed hunting, reading his bible, helping on the farm, driving truck, and spending time with family and friends.
David will be deeply missed by his son David Lyle Johnston Jr. of Mecosta; his daughter Rachel Diana (Kevin) Stevens of Morley; two grandchildren Liberty Marie Johnston and David Lyle Johnston III; brothers Gerald (Joyce) Johnston of Morley, Paul (Kay) Johnston of Morley, and Dale (Kim) Johnston of Stanwood; sister Linda (Al) Greene of Morley; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents Arden and Ada Johnston; and one sister Marilyn Kay Johnston (Cruz).
According to David's wishes, a private burial has been scheduled for family and friends in Rustford Cemetery.
