David "Bill" William Kohler's Obituary
David (Bill) Kohler, 87, of Bitely, passed away peacefully at his home on March 19, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1937, in Amble, MI, the son of David and June (Arndt) Kohler.
Farming was more than just a way of life for David—it was his passion. A lifelong farmer, he dedicated himself to hard work, but he also made time for what mattered most: family, friendship, and laughter. Known for his quick wit and easygoing nature, David could strike up a conversation with anyone and never met a stranger. His sense of humor and storytelling made him a joy to be around, and he formed friendships wherever he went.
In 1993, David married Meshelle Curtice, who survives him. He is also survived by his children: Kurt Kohler of Alabama, Dana Kohler of Oklahoma, Mary Clother of Grand Haven, and Tonya (Larry) Carnes of Big Rapids; seventeen grandchildren; one great grandchild; and his sister, Karen Moyer.
David was preceded in death by his parents, his son Harold Clother, his sister, Jean Schnicke and brother Robert Kohler.
