David Lee Perry's Obituary
David Lee Perry, age 68 of Howard City passed peacefully at his home on November 13th, 2018 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Dave was born in Flint, Michigan on October 5th, 1950 the firstborn son of Kenneth and Irene (Cherry) Perry. He spent most of his life in the Flint Area graduating from Carman High School and furthering his studies at both Mott Community College and GMI Engineering and Management Institute. Dave served his county in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked in skilled trades at General Motors in Flint, transferring to Grand Rapids later in his career and retired after over 36 years on the job.
Dave married Karen Herrick in Flint, Michigan on November 6th, 1993.
Dave loved to hunt, fish and ride his Harley. He belonged to a Motorcycle Club. He also loved to spend time at the family cabin in Mikado.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Karen Perry. His children; daughter Alicia (John) Evans of Traverse City, and two sons Kenneth "Brian" (Tracy) of Auburn Hills and Christopher of Howard City. He will be lovingly remembered as Grandpa "Boat ride" by his five grandchildren; Trenton Perry, Brennan Evans, Aleksander Evans, Jamison Perry and Emma Perry. Also survived by his siblings; Susan (Mark) Georgeff of Georgia and Dennis (Ronnie) Perry of Burt.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Kenneth and Irene Perry and brother, Douglas Perry.
