David Alan Rose's Obituary
David A. Rose, our loving husband, father, step-father, and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 with his wife by his side. He was 72 years old. Visitation will take place Thursday, November 19th, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus from 3 – 5 pm. A private service will take place on Friday, November 20th. David was born March 8, 1948, in Lansing, MI, the second son of John and Margaret (Beery) Rose. He was a Ferris State University graduate, and worked for Michigan Business Forms for over 35 years. David and his wife, Cheryl, moved full time to Canadian Lakes in 2014. Dave loved to golf and spent many joyful days doing so with long-time friends, Frank Stevens, Henry Hoogewind, and Scott Wellman. Dave will be deeply missed by his wife, Cheryl Rose; five children, Nicholas (Allison) Rose of DeWitt, MI, Jason (Lisa) Rose of Piedmont, OK, Kristin (Dave) VanderMyde of Walker, MI, Jeff (Laurie) Nash of Haslett, MI, and Warrant Officer Brooks Remus of Colorado Springs, CO; ten grandchildren, Hunter, Deven, Dominic, Ashlynn, Kendall, Trevin, Vincent, Landon, Peyton, and Connor; and two brothers, Ron and Bruce Rose. Dave was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary; sister-in-law, Sandy Rose, and brother-in-law, Jack Neubaum. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to VFW Post 2335 Mecosta, or the Wounded Warriors in memory of Dave. Dave’s family would like to thank Lemmen Holten Cancer Center, and Northstar/Hospice of Michigan for their care and support over the last year.
