David Russell Swisher's Obituary
Edmore-David Russell Swisher, age 68, of Riverdale passed away on May 2, 2019 at MidMichigan Medical Center Gratiot in Alma. David was born on April 12, 1951 in Carson City, the son of Bernard and Esther (Nickelson) Swisher. He was raised in Riverdale and attended Vestaburg Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1969. David was a farmer his whole life, being both self-employed and working for Beull Johnson. He enjoyed fixing things, riding ATV's, cutting fire wood, being outdoors in nature, taking walks, fishing and hunting of all types. He would talk to anyone and enjoyed spending time and playing with the children in his life.
He will be missed and is survived by his siblings, John Swisher of Riverdale, Paul Swisher of Ovid, Alice Woodrow of Riverdale; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Esther Swisher; brothers and sisters, Jimmy, Agnes, Richard, Virginia, Robert and Franklin Swisher, Frances Bush and Mary Mahin.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Seville Community Church of God with Pastor George Showers officiating. The family will greet friends starting at 10:00 AM until the time of service.
