David W. Ulrich's Obituary
David W. Ulrich, 71, of Stanwood passed away peacefully Sunday, May 5, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Big Rapids on August 24, 1941 the son of Walter F. and Mabel E. (Keitzman) Ulrich. Dave graduated from Morley Stanwood High School in 1959. He enjoyed time with his family, traveling in the motorhome, fishing, hunting and also loved to weld. Dave is survived by his wife Mary, one son Michael (Grazyana) Ulrich, one daughter Dawn (Chris) Manthei, both of Stanwood; two grandchildren, Michelle Gregory and Anja (Jeff) Skyn; two great grandchildren, Sophie and Samantha, three sisters, Nadine (Bob) Johnson of Stanwood, Carol (Gaylord) Harrell of LaCross, Wisconsin, Kathy Paul of Canadian Lakes, brothers-in-law, Tom Weipert and Leonard Worth both of Big Rapids plus several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Susan Weipert and Sally Monroe and one brother-in-law, Larry Paul. A memorial service for Dave will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Northland United Methodist Church with Pastor Dominic Tommy and Lynn Winans officiating. Dave's Family will greet friends at the church from 12:30 to 1:30. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
