Dawn Marie Gillard's Obituary
On the 27th of May 2022, Dawn Marie Gillard was tragically lost with three of her children. Born on September 24, 1981, to Robert Strang and Onalee Myers. Dawn as their only child lit their world with joy and her caring personality from the beginning. With her effervescent smile, she enjoyed honing her skills in the kitchen, cooking up fabulous meals, relishing in the joy it brought others. Dawn spent her free time keeping connections with friends where she was active on social media and frequenting local football games.
Becoming a mom was a pinnacle of Dawn's life. Her children quickly became the focus of her drive and making their world a place of joy. Dawn was an active mom, keeping involved with all aspects of the children's lives. She loved to take them out in nature for their long walks and fostering their wonder of the world. She and her three youngest children will forever be tied together in life and in death.
Left to grieve their mother and siblings are Dawn's three older children, Hailey, Courtney, and Gunnar Salisbury; Dawn's parents, Robert and Onalee. Dawn was preceded in death by the father of her three older children, Mark Salisbury.
A Funeral service to honor Dawn and her children, will be held Thursday, June 9th, at 11:00 am, at the Northland United Methodist Church in Stanwood, MI, with Pastor Gary Bondarenko officiating. Burial will follow in Stanwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 4-7pm., Wednesday, June 8th at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, and Thursday morning prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family
