Dawn Marie Janis' Obituary
Dawn Marie Janis, age 57, of Howard City, passed away at her home on Friday, January 30, 2015. Dawn was born on April 27, 1957 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of William and Betty Childs. She was raised in the Coopersville and Marne, Michigan areas and attended High School in Coopersville.
Dawn enjoyed outdoor activities, including jogging, gardening and riding her bike. She loved reading and farm animals; especially goats, chickens and horses. She worked at Leppinks in Lakeview, Michigan, in the Dairy Department, for thirteen years before her illness forced her retirement in 2014.
Dawn will be deeply missed by four children: Amanda Ream, Jeffrey Ream, Sarah Troupe and Michael (Hannah) Janis; nine grandchildren: Kristina, William, Asia, Kyle, Alex, Alliyah, Ryan and Jerry; nine brothers and sisters: Dan and Juanita Childs, William and Roberta Childs, David and Patricia Childs, Sharon Streeter, Ron and Joann Childs, Mike Childs, Susan and Gary Roelofs, Mark and Patti Childs, Tracy Clingan; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dawn was preceded in death by one son, Ronald "Ronnie" Ream in 2000 and both parents, William and Betty Childs.
A celebration of Dawn's life will be held at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Six Lakes on Wednesday, February 04, 2015 at 12 p.m. with Pastor Eugene Kooi officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made payable to Brigham Funeral Chapel to assist the family with funeral expenses.
All are invited for a luncheon in the Brigham Funeral Chapel Banquet Room in Lakeview following the committal at Hillcrest Cemetery in Six Lakes, Michigan.
