Deborah "Deb" Joy Macaddino's Obituary
Deborah Joy Macaddino, age 71, of Canadian Lakes, Michigan, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 24, 2026.
She was born on March 21, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, to William Weaver and Marie (Atwood) Weaver.
Deb lived in Bloomfield Hills before making Canadian Lakes her home for the last 30 years, where she embraced the beauty of lake life and built many cherished friendships. A true social butterfly, Deb was known for her quick wit, infectious personality, and love of laughter. She found joy in golfing, crocheting, tending to her plants and flowers, and spending time with the Canadian Lakes community. Deb was also an active member of the Canadian Lakes Players, where she shared her love of the arts and community through local theater productions. For over 20 years, she enjoyed wintering in Bradenton, Florida, where she continued her love of boating and warm weather living. Her bright, kind spirit made everyone feel instantly welcome, as if they had gained a lifelong friend. She had an enduring sense of humor, perpetual positivity, and deep love for others, which remained unwavering even throughout her courageous battle with cancer.
Deb is survived by her loving daughter, Deborah (Tim) Maskell; significant other, John Napiewocki; stepchildren, Kevin (Dawn) Macaddino, Timothy Macaddino, Kristi (Jim) Tomasello; brother, Danny DiCicco and her sister, Starr Stimpson. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Kaitlin, Emily, Alexander, Mitchell, Brittany, Kelsey, and Daniel, all of whom brought her immense joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ned Macaddino; and her brother, Anthony DiCicco.
In keeping with Deborah’s compassionate spirit, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to ALS of Michigan in her honor.
Visitation will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus, Michigan, with a Rosary service at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, with family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Deb will be laid to rest immediately following in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
Deb will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her vibrant spirit, loving heart, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
