Deborah Jean Rhoads' Obituary
Edmore-Deborah Jean Rhoads, age 68, of Blanchard, MI, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Mid-Michigan Hospital in Alma. Deborah was born on October 11, 1953, in Massillon OH, the daughter of Robert Leroy and Ruth Eileen (Bucklew) Berndt. Deborah was raised in Wyman, where she attended Montabella Community Schools, graduating in 1972. She went on to continue her education in cosmetology at Sidney Tech.
Deborah and Jeffrey Rhoads were friends throughout school and were married on February 9, 1974, at The First Baptist Church in Edmore.
Deborah was self-employed for more than 30 years as a beautician, and also at Maxfield's Restaurant and the Depot for a number of years. She will always be remembered for being an organized, hardworking, good, and kind woman who loved her family and friends.
Deborah had many hobbies which included family, taking care of others, cooking, entertaining, gardening, traveling, going on adventures with her sisters.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Lynn Rhoads of Blanchard; children, Joshua Nathaniel (Laura) Rhoads of Vestaburg, RJ Rhoads of Mt. Pleasant; 4 grandchildren, Brody Rhoads, Sofia Rhoads, Addison "Addy" Rhoads, Ryder Rhoads; mother, Ruth Raymer of Okeechobee, FL; siblings, Cindy (Dan) Howard of Blanchard, Sandy Rush of Westville, Carrie (Mark) Smith of Jacksonville, FL.
Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Robert Berndt; brother, Leroy Berndt
