Debra Jo Ensing's Obituary
Edmore - Debra Jo Ensing, age 63, of Edmore, MI, passed away on January 1, 2022, at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. She was born on April 18, 1958, in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Edo John and Joan (Vermaat) Frerichs. Debra moved to Jenison, MI at an early age, and attended Jenison Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1976. Debra furthered her education at Olympia Nursing School graduating with the Class of 2006. Debra was a nurse on the USA Army Base and employed by CDC (Child Care) in Baumholder, Germany, and was also employed by Best Care. Debra married David Ensing on April 25, 2014, in Montcalm County, MI. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing projects, quilting, baking, cooking, canning, making jellies and jams, and gardening. Debra was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Edmore, MI.
Debra is survived in death by her husband, David Ensing of Edmore; three children: Christopher (Deanna) Gualtieri of Rochester, IN; Deanna (Mike) Hunter of Allendale; and Tony (Kendra) Gualtieri of Allendale; six grandchildren; two brothers: Donald Frerichs of Springville, UT, and John Frerichs of Corona, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents Edo and Joan Frerichs.
A memorial service in Debra's honor will take place Sunday, January 16, 2022, from 2-4 P.M. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church on 326 W. Gilson Street, Edmore, MI, with Pastor Ernest Wolf and Pastor Robert Benson officiating.
