Denise, my cousin and birthday gift. As the story goes, when I was born on her birthday Denise was told I was her birthday present. She was 5 years old. Uunt Char said that Denise checked the mail for me after that! Over time, our shared Uncle Dick became a letter carrier for the USPS and the house on Amble road was on his route. Denise enjoyed visits with Dick when he stopped with the post, so once again she looked forward to the mail. I say Denise was a gift to me, though she was born first. Always there for every family gathering, remembering special days, taking care of her Dad, my Uncle Bob and my Mom's brother, making my Mom feel so cherished as her Aunt even going through life's challenges herself. I don't know most of you personally due to living so far away, but I know how Denise loved you, because I was blessed with the gift of being one of the people who was loved by her and loved her, too.
