Diane Audrey Hancock's Obituary
Diane Audrey Hancock, age 64, died Sunday October 17, 2021. She was born to Richard and Lorna Ball on October 9, 1957. Diane grew up in Stanton and graduated from Central Montcalm High School with the class of 1976.
She met and married the love of her life, Jim Hancock on January 29, 1977, and soon welcomed a daughter, Karrie Lynn Hancock August 15, 1977, and then a son, Chad Micheal Hancock August 22, 1979.
Diane attended Montcalm Community College and became a CNA and worked for many years in the emergency room at Sheridan Community Hospital which she loved. She ended her nursing career as Head nurse for Dr. Willis Gaffney where she loved all of her patients. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved being up north at the Cannon Creek.
Diane was preceded in death by her father Richard Ball.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jim Hancock; her children, Karrie Hancock (Bob Cross), Chad Hancock (Jackie Hancock) and their children Zack and Jorden Groce, Alexis Cross, Hunter Slaughter, Ashly Hancock, James Hancock, Calvin Cross, and Melissa Cross; her sisters, Debra Lilly, Cara Sheahan, and Bette Helmer.
In accordance with her wishes there will be no funeral. We will have a memorial dinner on November 7, 2021, for immediate family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted for help with funeral expenses.
