Dolly Ann Packer's Obituary
Edmore - Dolly Ann Packer, age 90, of Edmore, passed away at Lakeview Terrace Assisted Living on Sunday, February 6, 2022. She was born in Highland Park, Michigan on April 16, 1931, to Harold and Ruth (Mitchell) Wright. Dolly was raised in the Allen Park area and attended Lincoln Park High School graduating in 1949. She was employed at Samsonite, a bank teller in Allen Park, Michigan, and the Amtrack Railroad in the clerical department. Dolly was married to Earnest Leroy Packer on March 14, 1953, at the Presbyterian Church in Allen Park, Michigan. She enjoyed riding her bike, crocheting, fundraising for the Frederick Meyer Trail for benches, helping at the Edmore Potato Festival, traveling, reading, radio-talk shows, bowling, bingo, and drawing. Dolly was a member of the United Faith Methodist Church in Edmore.
Dolly is survived by her siblings, Barbara Giyan of Fruita CO, Harold (Marilyn) Wright of Fort Lauderdale, FL, David Wright of Phoenix AZ, Thomas Wright of Lake Havasu, AZ. And lots of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by both her parents and her brother Roy Daniel Wright.
A graveside service will take place at Vinewood Cemetery on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 11:00am, with Pastor Dan Barkholz officiating.
