Donald E Kring's Obituary
90, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at his Venice home.
He was born in Muskegon, Michigan, on December 31, 1925 to the late Egbert and Ivy (Swanson) Kring. His only brother, Gerald, died in 1994. He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Imelda (Weir), children Donald, Jr. (Cynthia), Mary Lynn England (David), and William (Jeri); grandchildren: William England (Shannon), Katelyn England-Blubaugh (Jason), Donald Kring, III (Erin), Molly Kring, Emily Obrist (Christopher), Tyler Kring (Fiancé, Ashley LeVasseur), Sara Kring, Laura Kring; and great-grandchildren: Neva England, Nora England, Stella Blubaugh, Fiona Blubaugh, and Evelyn Kring.
He was graduated from Western Michigan University and the University of Michigan. He was a principal and teacher for 33 years in Memphis, Michigan, and Center Line, Michigan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26, from 2-4 PM at Farley Funeral Home in Venice, FL. The funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 30, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic church in Lakeview, Michigan with Rev. James Wyse officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, from 5-8 PM at the Brigham Funeral home in Lakeview, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lakeview, 48850.
As an avid history buff, he loved to travel to faraway places. He also loved fishing and cooking. But most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.
