Donald Michael Palmer's Obituary
Edmore - Donald Michael Palmer, age 71, of Edmore passed away at The Laurels of Carson City, Michigan, on August 30, 2018. He was born on August 29, 1947 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Donald and Wanda (Bailie) Palmer. Donald was raised in Flint and attended Kearsley High School where he graduated in 1965. He earned his master's degree in Theology from Spring Arbor College, and pastored several churches in Clare, Brown City, and Battle Creek. He also worked as a self-employed contractor. Donald enjoyed ministering to people, Bible studies and fishing. He was a mentor to inmates paroled from prison and authored a book to help hurting people. Donald had his Master's Degree in Christian Ministry from Huntington University. He was a member of the Potter's House Family Worship Center in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Donald dearly loved his family and is survived by his children, Michael (Amy) Palmer, Michelle (Kenyon) Hopkins and Samuel Palmer; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his father, Donald Palmer; two brothers, Ronald (Wanda) Palmer of Blanchard and Dale (Vicki) Palmer of Flint; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother on June 29, 2017, his grandparents and grandson Kody Palmer.
Funeral Services for Donald will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at 12:00 PM, with the family accepting friends beginning 11:00 AM, at the Potter's House Family Worship Center with Pastor Ron Ives officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the services at the church.
All are invited to meet at Day Township Cemetery, McBride at 4:00 PM for interment.
