Donna Elaine Darin's Obituary
Lakeview-Donna Elaine Darin, age 92, formerly of Lakeview passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Bickford of Shelby Township Assisted Living. She was born in Howard City on August 24, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Steinke) Miller. Donna was raised in the Howard City area where she attended school. When she married Ernest Mulholland, they settled in Lakeview. Donna was a homemaker and mother of three children who loved cooking, gardening and crafting. While Ernest fought Multiple Sclerosis, she was his caregiver. After Ernest passed away in 1976, Donna met and married Leo Darin and moved to Allendale. She was employed by Lakeview Community Schools in the cafeteria and as a library aide. She also worked as a grocery store food marketer in the Grand Rapids area. Donna was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lakeview and Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Grand Rapids.Donna will forever be missed and is survived by her children, Linda (Mark) Stout of Shelby Township, MI; James (Dianne Ward) Mulholland of Shoreview, MN; and Julie Culver of Holland; step daughters, Marcia (James) Stubendorff of New Market, NH; and Patrica (Robert) VanderVeen of Wyoming, MI; grandchildren, Alicia, Barry, Michael, Mary and Jay; step grandchildren, Tracy, Todd, Aaron, Ryan, Shane and Jeremy; 7 great-grandchildren and 16 step great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Mulholland and Leo Darin; son-in-law, Barry Culver; great granddaughter, Ava; her parents, Joseph and Mary; as well as 8 siblings.Memorial Funeral Mass will be 11AM, Saturday April 20, 2024, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lakeview. Donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
