Donna Sue (Lister) Tausch's Obituary
Donna Sue (Lister) Tausch, 64, beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away unexpectedly Saturday afternoon May 06, 2017 at her home with her grand-daughter at her side. Donna was born February 20, 1953 in Saginaw, MI the daughter of Thomas and Nellie (Katch) Lister. Donna's parents both died by the time she was 7 years of age. She was raised by her uncle and aunt, Kenneth and Eva McConnell.
Donna lived in the St. Charles area all her adult life. She was united in marriage to James Tausch on April 20, 1991; he preceded her in death on January 01, 2014 after 22 years of marriage. Donna worked many jobs over her life time, but what she was most proud of was caring for the elderly. She worked as an in-home health care aide for over 30 years. Donna had so much compassion for people; especially the elderly. She was the type of person that would do anything for you. Donna enjoyed playing games on the computer but also enjoyed visiting with family and friends on Facebook. Due to her health over the last 10 years she wasn't able to get out as much and do the things she enjoyed; so she lived vicariously through her computer. In her younger years she enjoyed shopping, garage-saling, and spending time with her family and friends. Donna also had a big love of cats they became her surrogate children (which is ironic because up until about 20 years ago she hated animals) . But what Donna will be most remembered by is her cooking and baking abilities. She was an excellent cook and baker; everything she made was out of love. Donna was also the light of the party. She was always so easy to talk to and never judgmental. Donna just had a way with people; she would draw you in with conversation and her contagious smile. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and always looked forward to the holidays to have them all together. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children; Jeffery (Heather Fahrner) Huff, Jennifer Huff-Hammond and Dennis (Christine) Huff Jr., her adoring grandchildren; Kimberley Hammond, Robert Helm, Hayley Huff, Ashlee Huff, Trevor Huff and Hanna Huff, sisters; Helen Leadford and Karen Lambert and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Donna was preceded in death by her brothers; Robert and William Lister and sister and best friend; Linda Mendyk.
A Celebration of Donna's Life will take place Saturday, May 13, 2017 from Trinity Baptist Church (7090 S Graham Rd. St. Charles, MI 48655) at 2:00 PM with Pastor Steve Gulick to officiate. Visitation will also take place Saturday at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Those wishing to do a memorial contribution are asked to consider the "Wishes of the Family" c/o Jennifer Huff-Hammond.
