Doris Ione Burns' Obituary
Edmore-Doris Ione Burns, age 90, of Edmore passed away at her home on Sunday, June 9, 2024. She was born on October 30, 1933, the daughter of Pete and Jessie (Johnston) Moore. Doris was born, raised and attended school in Edmore. She married her husband Harold Burns and became a homemaker. Doris enjoyed gardening, animals, spending time with family, and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren. Doris is preceded in death by her parents; Pete and Jessie; husband; Harold; siblings; Kenneth, Ruby, Marie, Lucille, Neva, Donald, Dorothy, and Gertrude; Brothers-in-law; Charles and James. She will be missed by her daughters; Cindy Welch and Joyce Sanders; Grandchildren; Shane Welch, Stephanie (Jeff) Nobach, Stacy (Ross) Whetstone, Michael (Julie) Welch, Torrey Sanders, Becky (Jason Edwards) Welch; Great-grandchildren; Mariah (Derek Johnson) Morrow, Nicholas (Sonya Sorenson) Morrow, Harold Burns-Welch II, Tyler and Tara Whetstone, Keagan and Katelyn Eddy; Great-Great- Grandchildren; Forrest and Paxton. A funeral service will take place on Friday, June 14, at 11AM at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore. The family will greet friends and family on Thursday, June 13 from 5-7PM at the funeral chapel, and again on Friday from 10AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Doris's honor go to the Edmore VFW.
