Doris Yvonne Densmore's Obituary
Doris Yvonne (Myers) Densmore, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed
away January 26, 2022, at Margaret’s Meadow in Remus. Per her wishes, cremation will take
place with a memorial service to follow in the summer.
Doris was born August 25, 1932, the daughter of Stanley and Freda (Marston) Myers. She
married the love of her life, Grant Densmore, on March 9, 1951, and the two grew their family
to include six children. Doris worked for the Montabella School system for 20 years as both a
teacher’s aid and bus driver. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and playing board games.
She and Grant loved traveling when they were able, and even made trips to Germany and
Scotland. Known for being a very social person, Doris would often “grill” people for information
when talking with them, and leave the conversation knowing their entire life story. She had a
great sense of humor, and an endless love for her family, treasuring every moment spent with
them.
Left to cherish her memory are her six children and their spouses, Julie Nichols, Deb Hornung,
Dan Densmore, Sue Geffert, Tammy Delong, and Matthew Densmore; 20 grandchildren, and 12
great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 67 years, Grant Densmore.
