Doris Lucille (Christiansen) Outman's Obituary
Doris Lucille (Christiansen) Outman, age 83, of Edmore, passed away unexpectedly at her home on October 6, 2017. She was born in Stanton on July 13, 1933, the daughter of Clarence and Edna Batten Christiansen. She was raised in Stanton and graduated from Stanton High School Class of 1951. Doris was employed by Union Telephone Company in Edmore as a Jr. Clerk in the office. Doris married Bruce R. Outman on July 15, 1955 at Day Bethel Church in Edmore. They made their home in Evart for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, shopping, and genealogy. She was a member of the Women's Club in Evart.
Doris will be missed by two children Richard Outman of Las Vegas, and Cheryl (Kraig) Kuklewski of Belmont; grandchildren Richard J. Outman Jr., Colt Outman, Michael Outman, Matthew Outman, Alexis Outman, Joseph Kuklewski, and Chelsea Kuklewski; great-grandchildren Jenna, Colt Jr., and Justin Outman; two siblings Betty Clevenger of Six Lakes, and Melvin (Patricia) Christiansen of Livonia, MI; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Outman; parents Clarence and Edna Christiansen; one baby boy Thomas Outman, and son David Outman in 2016; siblings Alvin Christiansen, Olga Withey, and Clara Dyer.
Funeral services for Doris will be held at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dan Barkholz officiating. A luncheon will be held at Faith United Methodist Church following graveside services at Hillcrest Cemetery in Six Lakes. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore. Memorial contributions in Doris's memory may be made to Cheryl Kuklewski.
