Dorothy Ann Buikema's Obituary
Dorothy Ann Buikema, 85 of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026.
She was born July 2, 1941.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, David (Michelle) and Brian (Sherry) Buikema; grandchildren, Logan and Savannah Buikema; brother, Russell Cottrell; sister-in-law, Linda; niece, Heather Kasamauski; nephew, Scott Cottrell; her dear friend, Kristina Schnick; and many cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard Buikema; her parents, Clifford and Inez; brothers, Bill and Bob; and sister, Margaret.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Hospice of Michigan and the caring staff at Evergreen Terrace Assisted Living for the compassionate care and kindness they provided.
In accordance with Dorothy's wishes, a private graveside service will be held at a late date.
Dorothy will be remembered fondly and missed by all who knew and loved her.
