Dorothy J. Morrison's Obituary
Dorothy J. Morrison, 83, of Big Rapids, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 6, 1929 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Ray and Gladys (Mickey) McCrory. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 47 years Carl Morrison; five children, Dennis (Pamela) Young of Blue Ridge, GA, Deb (Mike) Fountain, Daryl (Faye) Young, Douglas Young, and Wesley Morrison, all of Big Rapids; plus 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 6 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pastor Dan Clise officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Plains Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Dorothy's name for Hospice of Michigan may be left at the funeral home, where friends may call on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m., and prior to services on Wednesday.
