Ed was born April 11, 1939, in Detroit, MI, the son of Margaret and Edmund (Dermacher) Urban. He attended St. Cecelia High School where he was a star athlete in baseball, basketball and football. After graduation, Ed married the love of his life, Sandy, and together the two grew their family to include five children. While raising their family, Ed worked in sales for a few companies before taking a position with Edward C. Levy Company. He worked there for 15 years before retiring and moving to Canadian Lakes.
Ed was well respected and loved by his many friends, family, co-workers and clients, and was often referred to as “a good man”. He enjoyed golfing and loved every minute of time spent with his family.
Charming, respectful, hard-working, kind and laid back were words used to describe Ed.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Sandy; children, Debra Ann (Matthew) Moyer, Edmund Walter Urban, Kenneth Dean (Nancy) Urban, Douglas Michael (Teresinha) Urban and Darryl Scott Urban; sister, Barbara Allor; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
